Additional Information:
Don't overlook the timing cover when rebuilding your Toyota 22R engine.  Examine the inner side of the timing cover for any wear created by a loose timing chain.  Left unchecked, the wear can go through to the water pump side of the timing cover and result in the mixture of motor oil and coolant.  This is not good for your Toyota. Also examine the timing cover for any excess corrosion on the water passages.  This is normally created by not having enough antifreeze in the water or going too long between coolant flushes.  Lastly, inspect the oil pump mounting area for excess wear on your old timing cover.
